 INSTANT ADHESIVE REMOVAL

  • To remove cured Instant Adhesive from fingers and skin:  If you happen to find yourself in a sticky situation, Acetone helps unglue fingers.  Gradually peel fingers apart, like you would slowly removing an adhesive bandage. Nail Polish Remover also works but it must be the Acetone based type.  You can also wait for your body's natural oils to break it down which could take from 1-4 days.

 

  • To remove cured Instant Adhesive from surfaces use MEK, Acetone or  Loctite® X-NMS™, a solvent blend designed for this purpose*.    Repeated washing with hot soapy water and a stiff brush will help break down or "wear" away adhesives from most surfaces. This works with skin too.

 

  • To remove uncured Instant Adhesive from hard surfaces, use acetone or a chlorinated solvent such as brake or contact cleaner*   

     *WARNING - Solvents will attack most painted surfaces therefore a test is recommended before using.
